6. Holding components in place (lever facing for-
ward), install lock nut and torque to 75 lb. in. (8
N·m).

Tiller Handle Installation

1. Apply Loctite No. 35 to threads (steering arm
end) of tiller handle studs. Install with stud install-
er. Tighten securely.

2. Install tiller handle to studs with shift rod posi-
tioned thru cowl opening as shown.

3. Secure tiller handle assembly in place.
