2. If the engine can not be successfully started, carry out the trouble diagnosis and removal as per
Table 1-52.

Turn the ignition switch to ON. Check if there is

trouble information records with a diagnostic
instrument.
Take out the spark plug, and make the electrode of
the spark plug 5-10mm from the engine block. Run

the engine with the start motor, and check if the blue
white high voltage fire is produced.
Check if the resistance of the high pressure wire is
3
normal (about 16k / m, if too low, the wire is in trouble).
4
Check each ignition coil for damage or crack.
5 Check the ignition coil for looseness or damage.
6 Check the ignition coil for normal operation.
Check if the interfaces of the high pressure coil are
7
well connected.
Turn the ignition switch to ON. Check if the fuel pump
8 relay and the fuel pump can keep running for 3
seconds.
Connect the fuel pressure gauge valve. Short-circuit
the pin J1-47 and the pin J1-73 of the fuel bump relay,
9
and run the fuel pump. Check if the fuel pressure is
about 300kPa.
Take out the fuel distribution pipe together with the
fuel injector. Disconnect the fuel injector from the
10
harness. Check the fuel injector for fuel injection with
the voltage of 12V directly from the battery.
Clean the fuel injector and check the fuel injector for
11
fuel injection.
12 Check if the fuel is wrong or contains water.
13 Check if the fuel pressure is lower than 300kPa.
Close the fuel gauge valve. Turn on the ignition switch
14 again and keep the fuel pump working for 3 seconds.
Check if fuel pressure can be produced.
