2. DTC: P0113, Intake Air Temperature Sensor Temperature Too High (see Table 1-15)

Connect the diagnostic instrument and adapter, and turn

the ignition switch to ON.
Check the "intake air temperature" as per the data flow.
Does it match with the temperature within the intake pipe

(related to the temperature of the engine at that moment)?
Note: If the temperature is often -40 , open circuit may
occur.
Disconnect the intake air temperature sensor from the
harness. Measure the resistance between pin 1# and pin
3 2# of the sensor with a multimeter. Does the resistance
match with its temperature (refer to relevant part of the
manual)?
Disconnect the intake air temperature sensor from the
4 harness. Measure the voltage between pin 1# and pin 2#
with a multimeter. Is the voltage about 5V?
Check for short to the ground between pin 17#, 40# of the

ECU and the pin 1#, 2# of the sensor with a multimeter.
Start the engine, and keep idle speed. Check the "intake
air temperature" on the diagnostic instrument. At this

moment, the temperature will increase with the rise of the
engine intake air temperature.
