Upgrading Firmware using USBUP

Upgrading firmware on your xGen devices is easy using the USBUP-EUR flash
tool.
1. Check with your supplier to download the latest firmware file for your device.
2. Create a folder on the USBUP-EUR called "XGEN" or "XPANDER" or
"XOUTPUT" or TouchNav depending on the device you are upgrading. The
device you are upgrading will look for this folder name so make sure it is
spelled correctly.
3. Copy the firmware file into this folder.
4. Remove the piece of plastic on the bottom right side of the panel or expander.
This will expose the USBUP-EUR header inside.
5. Make sure the device is powered.
6. Connect your USBUP-EUR to this header using the 5 pin cable supplied with
your USBUP. It will flash green once.
7. Press and hold the button on the USBUP-EUR until the light begins to flash
green rapidly. Release the button and USBUP will continue the firmware
transfer. Depending on the size of the firmware this could take a few minutes.
8. When the light stays lit orange the firmware was successfully flashed in the
device. Disconnect the cable and put back the piece of plastic to close the
cover.
9. If the light flashes red slowly then there has been an issue during the
upgrade process. Check the files are correct and if they are located in the
correct folder on the USBUP-EUR then try again. You may also open the log
file that is written to the USBUP-EUR for more diagnostic information.
