Using the Discussion Units
Language Interpretation
Two channels of language interpretation are supported in the DDS 5900 system for delegates and chairmen. The
interpretation is available at the headphone connector for all portable DC 5980 P and flushmount DC 5900 F units with the
FP 5981 F front plate.
To listen to one of the channels, follow these steps:
1. Connect headphones to the headphone jack on the side of the discussion unit.
2. Select a channel by pressing the selector buttons on the front of the unit. When no channel LEDs are illuminated, the
floor sound is selected.
3. Adjust the audio level of the headphones using the volume buttons.
