Power Supplies for Additional Components
To add additional components to the system, add an inline or rackmount power supply to the discussion unit chain.
Inline Power Supply
Use the PS 6001 power kit to add an inline power supply for approximately 40 more discussion units. The kit may be
connected at any point in the chain to power the additional components. Multiple PS 6001 units can be used to reach the
maximum 250 supported discussion units.
Note: The PS 6001 does not refresh the data signal (see Extending Total Cable Length).

Inline Power Supply (1x)
Rackmount Power Supply for 4 Additional Chains
Use the EX 6010 rackmount extension unit to add additional components and configuration options. The unit expands
the discussion unit chain into 4 separate outputs, each with a power supply equivalent of a central unit (approximately 60
units).
Note: The EX 6010 also refreshes the data signal, enabling up to 120 m of cable from each port.
