Power Requirements

For most installations, the CU 5905 supplies sufficient power for the discussion units. Depending on the setup, the CU
powers up to 60 units at a time without additional equipment. The number of supported units depends on the size and
layout of the installation.
To maximize the unit count without adding equipment:
1. Use both outputs from the CU. Units must be divided evenly across each chain

2. Position the CU so that the cable distance to the discussion unit chain is as short as possible
3. Keep the total cable length as short as possible by decreasing space between units

Note: When using two chains, distribute the number of discussion units evenly across both chains to maximize unit
count.
