Remove the left side control panel cover.
Right side control panel cover removal
Note: To prevent damage, lock the flatbed scanner module while performing this repair.

Remove the front control panel cover. See

Stand the scanner up on its rear.
Note: Make sure that the flatbed document cover is secure when standing the scanner up on its rear.

Pry the cover from the right of the scanner by using a flat‑head screwdriver.
