Troubleshooting

Burner flame pattern is erratic.
Flame is low when burner is on HI.
Flames do not run the whole length
of the burner tube.
Flame is yellow or orange
Flame has blown out
Flashback (Fire in burner tubes)
Inside of lid appears to be "peeling."
(Resembles paint peeling.)

Are the burners clean?
New burner or grill may have
residual manufacturing oils.
Spider webs or insects in venturi
Food residue, grease or seasoning Clean burner and heat tents.
salt on burners.
Poor alignment of valve to burner
High winds
Low on LP gas.
Excess Flow Safety Valve tripped.
Burner and/or tubes are blocked.
The inside of the lid is aluminum
or stainless steel, and is not
painted. It cannot "peel".
What you are seeing is baked on
grease that has turned to carbon
and is flaking off.
THIS IS NOT A DEFECT.

Clean the burners. Refer to "Cleaning".
Burn grill for 15 minutes with lid closed.
Clean venturi
Re-engage burner and valve.
Do not use barbecue in high winds.
Move barbecue to less windy area.
Replace or refill LP cylinder.
Refer to "Excess flow Safety
Valve Reset"
Clean burners refer to "Cleaning Burners"
Clean thoroughly. Refer to "Cleaning".
