Installing The Water Pump And Shift Rod - Yamaha F150A Service Manual

CAUTION:
Add or remove shim(s), if necessary, if
replacing the forward gear, taper roller
bearing, propeller shaft housing, thrust
washer, or lower case.
2. Tighten the ring nut to the specified
torque.
NOTE:
• To secure the ring nut, bend one tab a of
the claw washer into a slot in the ring nut.
• Bend all other tabs toward the propeller
shaft housing assembly.

Ring nut wrench extension 7:
90890-06513
Ring nut 5:
142 N·m (14.2 kgf·m, 104.7 ft·lb)
Installing the water pump and shift

1. Install the shift rod assembly 1.

Drive shaft and lower case (counter rotation model)
2. Install a new gasket 2, the outer plate
cartridge 3, and dowels 4.
