is within 4 kPa (30 mmHg) based on the
vacuum pressure of cylinder #1 or #2.

Adjusting the throttle position
sensor
NOTE:
• Be sure to adjust the throttle valve's open-
ing before measuring the throttle position
sensor output voltage.
• When measuring the throttle position sen-
sor output voltage, set the digital tester to
the manual range.

1. Remove the intake silencer.
2. Disconnect the throttle joint link rod 1
from the throttle lever 1.

3. Check that the throttle valves are in the
fully closed position.
4. Connect the test harness (3 pins) to the
throttle position sensor.
Test harness (3 pins): 90890-06793
5. Turn the engine start switch to ON.
6. Measure the throttle position sensor out-
put voltage with the throttle valves fully
closed. If the output voltage is out of
specification, adjust the throttle position
sensor.
