6. On the General Preferences screen, complete the following. Then click Next> to continue.
Disconnect service...: Check this option to automatically disconnect from the server upon
completion of all pending actions. This option most effectively utilizes connection time and
bandwidth.
Check for new mail...: Check this option to have the thin client check for new mail periodically.
Enter the desired amount of time to wait until the e-mail server is checked for new mail.
Display a message box...: (POP3 option) Check this option to be informed when new mail is
received.
Play a sound: (IMAP4 option) Check this option to be informed when new mail is received.
Send using...: (POP3 option) Check this option to send mail using the MIME format (messages
are sent with extended characters).
Only display messages...: Check this option if you want to specify the number of days in the past
that will be downloaded when a connection is made to the e-mail server. Messages on the e-mail
server older than this selection will not be downloaded.
Click Next> to continue.
7. On the Inbox Preferences screen, complete the following. . Then click Next> to continue.
