Using the Wireless Networking Function

Cause 1
Connection broken because
networking environment.
Solution 1:
Change the camera's orientation.
Solution 2:
Bring the camera near the wireless LAN router or other access point device.
Solution 3:
Change the channel of the wireless LAN router or other access point device.
Cause 2
Cannot detect the access point for the target device.
Solution:
Confirm that the wireless LAN router or other access point device is operating
correctly. For details, refer to the user guide for the wireless LAN router.
Cause 3
Failed authentication with the access point device.
Solution 1:
Attach the camera to the computer with the interface cable and check the
following target device settings.

then confirm
that the access point is not configured for MAC address filtering.
• A media access control (MAC) address is a hardware address that
uniquely identifies each node of a network, such as a camera or
computer, using a single worldwide number for the prefix.
• MAC address filtering is a function that registers the MAC address of
devices used on a wireless network with the wireless LAN router and
denies access to unregistered MAC addresses.
Cause 4
Failed to detect target device within the time limit (30-second timeout).
Solution:
Check to confirm that the target device1s (computer's) wireless networking
function is operating correctly.
