Grounding

Connect   y our   t ransceiver   t o   t he   s ame   g rounding   s ystem   o f   y our   s hack   c arefully!   U se   m inimum   l ength  
cables  and  make  certain  that  the  connections  are  both  physically  and  electrically  sound.  With  poor  
grounding,   you   may   risk   damaging   your   equipment,   having   problems   with   TVI/BCI   or   your  
transmitted   s ignal   m ay   b e   d istorted.

Coaxial   C able  
The   o utput   o f   t he   t ransceiver   i s   t o   b e   c onnected   t o   t he   i nput   o f   t he   a mplifier   v ia   R G58   o r   s imilar  
cable.   F or   t he   c onnection   b etween   t he   p ower   a mplifier   a nd   t he   a ntenna,     R G213   o r   s imilar   c oaxial  
cable   s uited   f or   h igh   p ower   i s   r ecommended.   A ll   t he   I NPUT   a nd   t hree   O UTPUT   ( ANT1,   A NT2,   A NT3)

4.3.
Control   C able  
Control  cable  maintains  TX  /  RX  switching  of  the  PA    (TX  GND).  The  cable  is  shielded.  On  the  side  of  
the   p ower   a mplifier   a   C INCH-­‐socket   i s   u sed.   O n   t he   s ide   o f   y our   t ransceiver   y ou   h ave   t o   u se   a   s ocket  
suitable   for   this   transceiver.   During   transmitting   the   middle   pin   is   connected   to   the   ground.   The  
relays   of   the   OM2000+   have   to   be   switched   earlier   than   HF   is   applied   (cold   switching).   Modern  
transceivers   t hey   h ave   a   t ime   d elay   b etween   P TT   s witching   a nd   p ower   o utput.
