If   there   is   a   fault   condition,   always   try   to   remove   the   cause   first.   If   it   is   not   a   hardware   failure,   it  
usually   s ucceeds.   F or   e xample   h igh   V SWR,   h igh   I nput   p ower,   m istune   o f   P A,   h igh   t emperature,   e tc.  
 
An   e xample   s hows   s ituation   w hen   I nput  
power   i s   t oo   h igh.   B y   p ressing   P TT   s afety  
circuit   w ill   r eact   q uickly,   e rror   m essage  
appears   a nd   F AULT   L ED   s tarts   b linking.   I n   t his  
case   s creen   c urrent   e xceeds   l imited   v alue  
(60mA).    
After   abt.   1   sec.   PA   returns   to   TX   mode.  
Reduce   I nput   p ower   t o   a void   f ault   r epeating.  
 
 
 
This   is   the   situation,   when   problem   with  
high   Input   power   persists.   Safety   circuits  
reacted   3   times,   and   then   switched   PA   to  
STBY   m ode.   P ermanent   f ault   a ppears.  
To   return   PA   to   the   normal   operation,  
decrease   Input   power   first,   then   reset   fault  
status   a nd   g o   b ack   t o   t he   O PER   m ode.  
 
If   resistor   R1   or   fuse   F3   is   damaged,   safety  
circuit   stops   starting   of   the   PA   and   fault  
message   appears   on   the   display.   It   is  
necessary  
to  
replace  
component.
