If y ou a re u sing a n o lder t ransceiver o r t ransmitters w ithout t ime d elay, w e r ecommend t o c onnect
the PA in such a way that the transmit/receive switch (foot switch for example) is connected with
the KEY IN socket of the amplifier. The KEY OUT socket is to be connected with the PTT socket at
the t ransceiver.
The amplifier is equipped with safety devices, which ensure that the output relay is not switched
under p ower m istakenly ( hot s witching).

4.4. Main S upply
Be sure you got PA with properly terminated line cable, corresponding with your power system's
outlet. If not, contact your dealer. In such a case you should make the necessary changes using a
licensed e lectrician.
Be s ure t hat y our p ower s ystem i s c orrectly w ired a nd p roperly r ated! T o u se a dequately s ized a nd
connected g rounding s ystem i s a lso v ery i mportant.
4.5. Cooling
The a mplifier m ust b e i nstalled i n s uch a w ay t hat f ree f low o f h ot a ir f rom t he t ube i s a llowed. D o
not o bstruct a ir i ntake a nd e xhaust a reas o f t he P A.
The centrifugal blower provides the necessary cooling of the amplifier, even during long contests.
The b lower i s a ctivated b y s witching t he P A o n a nd i t i s t urned o ff w hen c ooling i s f inished ( approx. 1 -­‐
5 min after switching off the PA depending on the temperature of the tube). Blower speed (2 steps)
is s etting a utomatically a ccording t o t he t ube t emperature.
