Authority
Sets the file sharing access rights for an FTP user; either Read and Write or Read. An FTP
user with Read access can only download shared files. An FTP user with Read and Write
access can download and upload files to the USB storage, however they cannot delete or
modify any existing shared folders or files (existing files can be overwritten).
Enable
Select Yes to enable the user account for USB access.
File Sharing settings
The router supports a file sharing function based on Windows Network Neighborhood
(depending on a user's access rights to the shared folders). That is, the shared folders and files
on the USB drive appear to Microsoft Windows users as normal Windows folders accessible
on the network. Users can use Windows Network Neighborhood to access files on the USB
drive. A maximum of 32 shared folders can be defined.

Global Setting

Work Group: The Windows networking group name. Enter 1-255 characters (do not use
characters ` " & ' # \.)

Host Name: A name that identifies the router in the Windows network. Enter 1- 1 5
characters (do not use characters ` " & ' # \.)
Folder Sharing
•
Folder: A name of a folder on the USB drive that you want to share. Click in the field to
browse and select the folder on the USB drive from the pop-up "tree-browser" window.

Allowable Users: Selects a user account that is permitted to access the shared folder.
•
Folder Access: Select Read and Write or Read access to the folder. A File Sharing
user with Read access can only download files from the shared folder. A File Sharing user
