The following information describes some of
the control features in the Polara
ated Range. Additional information can be
found in the Use and Care Guide.
TONES
Tones are audible signals that indicate the
following commands:
1 Tone
• Valid keypad press
• Oven is preheated (long tone)
• A function has been entered
3 Tones
• Invalid keypad press
4 Tones
• End-of-cycle
• A reminder, repeating each minute after
the end-of-cycle tones
Reminder Tones
Reminder tones may be turned off and on.
To do this:
• Press and hold the STOP TIME keypad
for 5 seconds to turn the tones Off. "rEP
OFF " will appear in the display.
• Repeat the previous step to turn the tones
back On. "rEP on" will appear in the dis-
play.
All Tones
All of the above tones are preset to On. Ex-
cept for the end-of-cycle tones, all of the tones
can be turned Off.
To turn the tones Off/On:
• Press and hold the START TIME keypad
for 5 seconds. A tone will sound and "Snd
OFF " will appear on the display.
• Repeat the previous step to turn the tones
On. "Snd on" will appear on the display.

CONTROL FEATURES

Tone Pitch

Refriger-
The tones are preset at a high pitch, but can
be lowered, if desired.
To change the pitch of the tone:
TEMPERATURE DISPLAY
The display temperature is preset for Fahren-
heit, but can be changed to Celsius.
To change the temperature display to Cel-
sius:
CONTROL LOCK
The Control Lock turns the control panel func-
tions off to prevent unintended use of the oven.
When the control is locked, only the ACCU-
SIMMER
keypads will function.
To lock/unlock the oven control:

• Press and hold the CONVECT BAKE key-
pad for 5 seconds. A tone will sound, and
"Snd LO" will appear on the display.
• Repeat the previous step to change the
pitch to high. "Snd Hi " will appear on the
display.
• Press and hold the BROIL keypad for 5
seconds. A tone will sound, and "C" will
appear on the display.
• Repeat the previous step to change the
display temperature back to Fahrenheit.
A tone will sound, and "F" will appear on
the display.
• To exit the Temperature mode, press the
STOP CANCEL keypad.

, CLOCK, OVEN LIGHT, and TIMER
• Make sure the oven and Timer are off.
• Press and hold the START keypad for
5- seconds. A single tone will sound, and
"Loc" will appear on the display.
• Repeat the previous step to unlock the
oven control. "Loc" will disappear from the
display.
