Refer to page 4-27 for the procedure for servic-
ing the compressor.
1. Unplug the refrigerated range or discon-
nect the power.
2. Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1 scale.
3. To test the compressor windings:
a) Touch one of the ohmmeter leads to
the Common (C) terminal, and the other
lead to the Start (S) terminal. The meter
should indicate between 7.5 and 9.5 Ω.
b) Touch one of the ohmmeter leads to
the Common (C) terminal, and the other
lead to the Run (M) terminal. The meter
should indicate between 2 and 4 Ω.
4. To test the overload, touch one of the
ohmmeter leads to the Common (C) termi-
nal, and the other lead to the Overload
terminal. The meter should indicate a
closed circuit (0 Ω).
