Cause
Refrigerant circuit fault,
heat pump stage 1:
■ Safety high pressure
switch has responded.
■ Compressor motor
overload relay (thermal
relay) has responded.
■ Klixon start-up resistor.
■ If installed:
Separate compressor
motor overload relay
has responded.
Primary circuit fault:
■
: Primary circuit pres-
sure switch/frost stat
has responded.
■
: Primary pump ther-
mal relay, heat pump
1st stage or common
primary pump.
■
: Faulty power sup-
ply to fan.
■
: Fan blocked or
faulty.
■
/ : Contact
humidistat or frost stat
for cooling has respon-
ded.
Measures
■ Check flow and return
temperature sensors in
primary and secondary
circuits.
■ Check primary and sec-
ondary circuits for pres-
sure and throughput
(see also message A9).
■ Have heat pump tested
by a refrigeration engi-
neer.
Switching signal can be
tested at terminal 215.4
(see page 150).
Note
After removing fault,
switch appliance OFF and
ON again once.
■ Check safety equip-
ment at terminals X3.9
and X3.8 (see
page 165); in systems
without safety equip-
ment, check jumper
across X3.9/X3.8.
■
: Reset thermal relay,
check primary pump
and replace if required.
■
: Check electrical con-
nections at the fan;
check fan mechanically.

tested at terminal 215.3
