To enter text using the dial pad, press the number keys one or more times. For
example, for 'A' press 2 and for 'C' press 222. When in text entry mode, the
title will show whether keys will generate digits (1), upper - case (A), or lower-
case (a) characters— use the 1/A/a soft key to change—and whether keys will
generate ASCII, Latin, Cyrillic, Katakana, or Unicode characters —use the
Encoding soft key to change.

Information Status

The top line of the screen (or graphic display) shows status information. It appear s as a
scrolling list if there is more than one message. The number of messages in the list also
appears. In order of precedence from highest to
lowest, the messages are:
• Popup text (for example, network errors)
• Do Not Disturb text
• Missed call text or second incoming caller

• Prompt text (for example, "Enter number")
• Time and date text

Calls received while Do Not Disturb is enabled are logged in the Missed
Calls list unless configured to be forwarded to another party by your
system administrator.
To disable Do Not Disturb:

Assigning Speed Dial Keys

You can associate contacts with Line Keys for single touch dialing offrequently
used numbers. Speed Dial entries are consecutively placed next toassigned Line
Keys on the phone. When a new entry is added to the ContactDirectory, it is
automatically assigned the next available speed dial index andthe next available
line key.
In the figure below, the phone has one line key, and two available speed dialkeys
(assigned to Adam and Tom). To dial Adam or Tom, press the associatedline
key.
Assigning New Speed Dial Keys
To add or edit a speed dial index for an existing contact:
1. Press

2. Select Features > Contact Directory.
3. Scroll to highlight the contact.
You can also use the * key to page up and the # key to page down.
4. Press the Edit soft key.
