PROBLEM
The transceiver does

POSSIBLE CAUSE

TROUBLESHOOTING

SOLUTION
• Recharge the battery pack.
• Check the connection to the transceiver.
• Set squelch to the threshold point.
• Set [VOL] to a suitable level.
• Drain water from the speaker.
• Change channels.
• Recharge the battery pack.
• Push [H/L•
] to select high power.
LOCK
• Push [H/L•
] for 1 sec. to cancel the
LOCK
function.
• Set the desired channels as "TAG" chan-
nels.
• Set the beep tones to ON (Fix Beep/User
Beep) in set mode.
• Leave the transceiver at room temperature
for a while. Turn the power ON to check if
the internal temperature has returned to
normal.
• Verify the battery voltage is correct.
• Have the transceiver checked at your local
distributor or dealer to see whether the
transceiver works properly or not.
