Removing a Processor
To remove a processor module, perform the following steps:
Step 1. Turn off the server and disconnect all cables. See "Powering Off the Server" on page 42.
Step 2. Remove the top metal cover. See "Removing and Replacing the Top Metal Cover" on page 50.
Step 3. Remove the processor airflow guide. See Figure 4-27 for more information.
a. Remove the IDE cable and power module cables from the processor airflow guide cable clips.
CAUTION
b. Hold the guide using the opening on top of the guide.

Record the cable routing of these cables to ensure the cables are returned to their
correct routes.
