HDMI
(User's Manual – D300S page 302; D300 page 315)
HDMI
(High-Definition Multimedia Interface) allows you to
display your images and video (D300S only) on a
high-definition monitor or television (HDTV). The camera's
Monitor
shuts off when you are connected to an HD device.
You'll need an HDMI Type A to Type C cable, which is not
included with the camera but is available from many
electronics stores. This cable is also known as a mini HDMI
to HDMI A/V HD cable.
Figure 5-11
gives you a closer look
at both ends of the cable.
Figure 5-11. Mini HDMI to HDMI
The smaller end (mini HDMI, Type C) goes into the HDMI
port under the rubber flap on your camera, and the other end
(HDMI, Type A) plugs into your HD device.
