by five-step increments. Refer to the table above to set

times the flash can fire while lowering the power (going
toward 1/128) will increase the number of times the flash

How Does Repeating Flash Work, Technically?
If you have Output set to 1/128, Times set to 5, and
Frequency set to 50, that means the camera will fire its
built-in pop-up Speedlight at 1/128 of full power, five
times, with each flash burst divided up into 50 shutter
speed pulses. Therefore, the flash will pulse a total of 250
times at 1/128 power for a 1 s exposure, or four times for a
1/60 s exposure.
