<Outside Line Assignment>
• If the KX-TD290 is connected to the system, the maximum number of available outside
lines is 31 (basic 8 + PRI 23). In this case, the outside line numbers are as listed below.

• The number of outside lines used for an ISDN line is needed to assign in program [460] PRI
Connection Assignment. (Default: 0, all lines: 23)
• Each outside line can be assigned to an outside line group, and it works on assignments of
the group.
• Assigns a name to each outside line. During receiving an outside line call, the outside line
name appears on the display.
• The PRI ISDN line employs en-bloc dialing so that dialed digits are not transmitted to the
Central Office until all digits have been entered into the PBX. Assignment in programs
[464], [465] and [466] selects whether timers and a counter (PRI Dial Counter) are used to
determine end of dialing. If "Effective" is selected in program [463], inter-digit timing is
used to determine the end of dialing.
<Example>
If the counter is set to 7 digits (default) in program [466],
1) Timer 1 is used for the first 7 digits of dialing.
2) Timer 2 is used for any digits dialed after the first 7 digits.
If "Not Effective" is selected in program [463], the counter and timers are not used. In this
case, the timer assigned in program [208] Inter Digit Time is used.
• The system determines the end of dialing by pressing the # button following the telephone
numbers.
• Assigns a Reference CO (1 through 24) to each PRI channel CO. PRI channel COs refer to
the following programs for analog outside lines 1 through 24.
For example, if a PRI channel CO 25 is regarded as a reference CO number 13, when an
incoming call is received on a PRI channel CO 25, a DIL 1:1 destination data for the CO 13
is referred firstly. However, if it has not been assigned, the DIL 1:N destination data for the
CO 13 is referred.
