1.1.3 Check Operation

* During check operation, mount front panel to avoid the misjudging.
* Check operation is mandatory for normal unit operation.
(When the check operation is not executed, alarm code "U3" will be displayed.)
Press and hold the TEST
OPERATION button (BS4) on
outdoor unit PC board for 5
seconds.
Check on operation
On completion of test operation, LED on outdoor unit PC board displays the following.
H3P ON: Normal completion
H2P and H3P ON: Abnormal completion →Check the indoor unit remote controller for
Malfunction code
In case of an alarm code displayed on remote controller:
Malfunction
Nonconformity during installation

The shutoff valves in the outdoor unit
remain closed.
The refrigerant is overcharged.

The shutoff valves in the outdoor unit
remain closed.
The operation mode on the remote controller
was changed before the check run.
E4
The refrigerant is insufficient.

The refrigerant is overcharged.

The check operation is not performed.

The power is not supplied to the outdoor unit. Connect correctly the power cable of the outdoor unit.
Improper type of indoor units are

connected.
The shutoff valves in the outdoor unit
remain closed.
The piping and wiring of the specified indoor
unit are not connected correctly to the

outdoor unit.
The operation mode on the remote
controller was changed before the check
run.
The unit-to-unit wirings are not connected

correctly.
Test Operation
The test operation is started automatically.
The following judgements are conducted within 15 minutes(about 30
minutes at the maximum).
2"Check for wrong wiring"
2"Check stop valve for not open"
2"Pipe length automatic judgement"
The following indications are conducted while in test operation.
2LED lamp on outdoor unit PC board
2Remote controller
Open the shutoff valve on both the gas side and liquid side.
Calculate again the required quantity of refrigerant to be charged
based on the piping length, recover the refrigerant using the
refrigerant recovery device, then achieve proper quantity of
refrigerant.
Open the shutoff valve on both the gas side and liquid side.
Set the operating mode on all indoor unit remote controllers to
"cooling".
• Check whether additional refrigerant charge has been finished
correctly.
• Calculate again the required quantity of refrigerant to be
charged based on the piping length, then charge additionally
proper quantity of refrigerant.
Calculate again the required quantity of refrigerant to be charged
based on the piping length, recover the refrigerant using the
refrigerant recovery device, then achieve proper quantity of
refrigerant.
Perform the check operation.
Check the type of indoor units currently connected. If they are not
proper, replace them with proper ones.
Open the shutoff valve on both the gas side and liquid side.
Confirm that the piping and wiring of the specified indoor unit are
connected correctly to the outdoor unit.
Set the operating mode on all indoor unit remote controllers to
"cooling".
Connect correctly the unit-to-unit wirings to the F1 and F2(TO IN/
D UNIT) terminals on the PC board (A1P) in the outdoor unit.
H2P flickers (test operation)
Indicates "On Centralized Control" on upper
right.
Indicates "Test Operation" on lower left
abnormal display and correct it.
