Pull out the car seat belt and insert in the buckle (see figure
VII.
Place the lap belt portion (fig. VII, 14) of the car seat belt
over the armrests of the Porsche Baby-Safe and insert into
the belt

uides (fig. VII, 15) on both sides of the Porsche
Baby-Sa e. Pull the belt snug over the Porsche Baby-Safe.
Open the cover (fig. WI, 4) usin the clasp (fig. VII, 5). Pull
the shoulder belt portron (fig. si I, 13) behind the Porsche
Bab -Safe seat back and insert it between the belt clip (fig.
VII r6) and seat back (fig. VII 17). Ensure that the car seat
beit fits snugly and is not twisted.
Close the cover (fig. VII, 4) and lock in position in order to
engage the shoulder belt portion (fig. VII, 13). The cloth seat
coverin must not be trapped between the cover (fig. VII,
4) and t fl e seat back. By pressing on the clasp (fig. VII, 5)
make sure that the cover (fig, VII, 4) is closed fully.

with the cover closed

Care and maintenance
What comes after the Porsche Baby-Safe?
Remove the cloth covering and wash it carefully in a mild detergent
and warm water (30°C) and hang to dry. Do not spin or machine dry.
If the safety harness buckle malfunctions
Children over 20 lb (9 k ) should be restrained in a Porsche
Pri n Ce
child seat or a Porsche 5 oom booster seat (with or without Comfy
sleep rest.) as their size indicates, Please check with your Porsche
dealer for details.
If both tongues cannot be inserted, press the red pushbutton all the
way down, then insert the two tongues together. If the safety harness
buckle malfunctions, this may be due to contaminants which can be
washed
out. Malfunctions
can usually
be identified
by:
- The tongues engage without a pronounced "Click".
-The tongues are elected slowly after pressing the release button.
- Insertion of the tongues is difficult.
. The tongues will not engage (are ejected again).
What to do
Try the following
corrective
steps. If these do not fix the
problem, do not use the Porsche Baby-Safe until the malfunction
has been repaired.
1.
Remove the safety harness buckle
Push the buckle downwards in the belt slot. You can now
reach the metal plate under the seat area used to secure
the belt to the seat base and push it up through the slot in
the seat base, allowing the buckle to be removed from the
seat
2.
Cleaning the buckle
Soak the buckle portion (for at least 30 min. or possibly
overnight) in hot water (possrbly with detergent). Then rinse
out the buckle and dry it thoroughly.
3.
Refitting
Reinstall In reverse order of step 1. You must make sure
that the metal plate is pressed back through the slot of the
plastic seat base and is not just fastened beneath the
coverrng. If In doubt of correct rnstallahon contact your
Porsche dealer.

So that your child does not contact hot items, the Porsche
Bab -Safe should be covered with a blanket or towel and
not z e left in direct sunlight.
Never leave your child alone or unattended
in the child
seat or in the car.
If the Porsche Baby-Safe is carried
in the car without a
child, it must be secured with the belt.
