CLEANING THE
HARNESS AND SEAT
To clean the buckle. follow these steps:
1.
DO NOT _ Take apart or attempt to
take apart any of the harness when
cleaning the harness and seat. It is
unnecessary
and dangerous to do SO.
DO NOT - Use solvents, detergents
or cleaning fluid as these may weaken
the harness and the seat.

DO _ Only use bathroom soap and
warm water.
CLEANING THE COVER
Remove
the crotch strap.
Fullv recline the seat. Pull the fabric
co&t off of the seat to expose the
crotch strap. You can now grasp the
metal plate under the seat, by which
the strap is secured to the seat shell,
and push it upwards, on its side,
through the slot i n the shell.
Cleaning the buckle unit
Soak
the buckle i n warm water (11
necessary. with dish washing liquid)
for about an hour. Rinse and dry
thoroughly.
The Freeway cover is machme-

washable.
DO NOT use chlorine bleach.

CLEANING THE BUCKLE
Most problems relatmg to your child's

are easily washed out

DO - Follow these fitting
instructions i n the order shown
and get to know your Freeway
before installing it i n your vehicle.
DO - Keep them safe for future
reference.
DO -Make sure that the Freeway
does not become trapped by a
folding vehicle seat or i n the door
of your vehicle.
DO - Secure the Freeway i n your
vehicle even when it is not
occupied. In a crash an unsecured
child restraint may injure other
occupants.
DO - Make sure that you adjust
the harness to fit the clothes your
child is wearing - a fitting for
winter clothes will be too slack for
a child wearing summer clothes.
DO - Cover your Freeway if your
vehicle is left standing i n direct
sunshine. Metal fittings can become
hot to the touch i n sunny weather.
DO - Put the lightest passenger
i n the seat behi n d your Freeway
if seat-belts are
not
avai l a bl e on
the back seats. In an accident a
heavy passenger coul d cause
more injuries to your child than a
light one.
DO - Store your Freeway i n a safe
pl a ce when it is not being used.
Avoid placing heavy objects on
top of it.

DO NOT - Use your Freeway i n
the home. It has not been
designed for home use and shoul d
only be used i n your vehicle.
DO NOT - Use anything, i.e. a
cushi o n or coat, to raise your
Freeway off the vehicle seat. In an
accident your Freeway and
vehicle seat-belts would not be
abl e to protect your child as well
as they should.
DO NOT-Attempt to disassemble
any part of your Freeway or change
the way its harness or your vehicle
seat-belts are made or used.
DO NOT - Leave l o ose objects,
i.e. books, bags, etc., i n the back
of your vehicle. If you have to
stop your vehicle suddenl y l o ose
objects will keep moving. They
can then cause serious injuries.
Large and heavy l o ose objects are
a particular risk.
DO NOT - Leave folding vehicle
seats unlatched. If you have to
stop your vehicle suddenl y a l o ose
seat back coul d prevent your
Freeway from protecting your
child as well as it should.
DO NOT - Leave children al o ne i n
your vehicle, even for a short time.
DO NOT - Allow children to play
with the Freeway.

retail purchaser as follows:
LIMITED ONE YEAR WARRANTY. When purchased from an authorized
Britax dealer, this product is warranted against defective materials or
workmanship for one year from the date of original purchase. Pyoof of
purchase is required. Your exclusive remedy for this Warranty IS that
Bntax will, at its option, provide replacement parts, repair or replace
thts product or refund the original purchase price of the product. Britax
reserves the ri ht to discontinue or change parts, models or products,
or to make substitutions.
