Always keep the safety belts clean and dry.
Avoid contamination of the safety belt webbing
by polishes, oils, and chemicals, particularly
battery acid, bleach or dye. These contaminants
may lead to weakening of your safety belt
webbing material.
Periodically inspect all parts of the safety belts.
Replace damaged safety belts or components
immediately.
You must replace any safety belt that has been
stretched in an accident, even if the damage
is not obvious or visible. Replacement safety
belts must be new.
We recommend replacing the entire safety belt
assembly after your vehicle has been in a col-
lision. If a trained specialist finds that no safety
belt damage has occurred in an accident, and
that everything is in correct working order, then
you don't have to replace the belts. We
recommend that you consult your authorised
Chevrolet repairer.
