2-20 Overview
During Step and Set, if there is more than a ten second pause between pressing buttons on the
remote control, the remote exits Step and Set and return to the previously programmed setup
code.
You can only set up the remote control while in TV, VCR 1 or VCR 2 mode.

Installing Batteries in Remote Control

Before using the remote control, you must install two AA (1.5 V) alkaline batteries (included), as
illustrated in Figure 2-6.
To install batteries in the remote control:

Press and slide the battery compartment cover off.

Place the batteries in the compartment; be careful to observe the correct polarity.

Slide the battery compartment cover back into place.
