Operational Check

The operational check tests the communication link between the remote control and the
DCP501. The procedures verify the DCP501 response to remote control commands.
Table 3-1 lists the operational check procedures:

Testing Procedure

Press to turn on the DCP501.

Turn on the TV and select a video source.

Scan through the channels using the

Tune to several channels by entering the channel number with the numeric
buttons on the remote control.

Turn the TV volume down completely. Use the DCP501 volume control to adjust
the sound volume to a moderate level.

Press + - on the remote control to increase to a comfortable level.
