Door Glass Adjustment
To adjust the door glass for optimum weather sealing and ease of operation:
1. Remove the window winder handle and door trim panel. Check that the top end of the toothed sector is
fitted with an eccentric stop. If not so fitted, drill an M6 clearance hole through the sector in the position
shown and fit a mesh friction washer between the eccentric and the sector.

Establish whether the car is fitted with window upstop ' ! _' brackets, introduced in November '96 at VIN
V 244. Note that it is not practicable to update earlier cars due to the requirement for captive fixings
within the door beams.
