C. Separation Flapper
1) Remove the separation belt unit. (See the
instructions given for the separation belt
unit.)
2) Remove the rear separation flapper [1] and
the front separation flapper [2].
• To facilitate the work, shift the separation
flapper in the direction of the arrow.

3) Clean the side (shaded) of the separation
flapper (both front and rear) coming into
contact with paper with alcohol.
• Be sure to keep the strokes in feeding
direction.

D. Separation Guide

2) Remove the front separation flapper and
the front separation flapper. (See the
instructions given for the separation
flapper.)
3) Clean the areas (12 in all) of the pre-
separation guide with alcohol.
• Be sure to keep the strokes in the
direction of feeding.
