Security Slots

The switches have security slots on the rear panel. You can install an optional cable lock, such as the
type that is used to secure a laptop computer, to secure the switch.

Cisco Network Assistant
Network Assistant is a PC-based network management GUI with centralized management of
Cisco LAN switches, core switches, routers, access points, IP phones, and PIX firewalls.

Device manager
You can use the device manager, which is in the switch memory, to manage individual and
standalone switches. Device manager is a web interface that offers quick configuration and
monitoring. You can access the device manager from anywhere in your network through a web
browser. For more information, see the device manager online help.
