If you changed the static IP address on your PC in Step 1, change it to the previously configured static IP address. Cisco Network Assistant Cisco Network Assistant is a software program that you download from Cisco.com and run on your PC. It offers advanced options for configuring and monitoring multiple devices, including switches, switch clusters, switch stacks, routers, and access points. Network Assistant is free—there is no charge to download, install, or use it.
Switch USB Mini-Type B Console Port If you use the USB-mini console port, you must install the Cisco Windows USB device driver on the PC that is connected to that port. See the switch hardware installation guide for installation instructions.
