port
QUALITY
Memory full
Internal error
Received document error
No document to be polled
Incompatible coding
Unknown Mailbox number
Possible Cause(s)
It is possible the error occurred because the
recipient's number does not support the Er-
ror Correction Mode.
Fax Transmission: The fax message sent
was not received properly. Ask the recipient
whether the transmission process needs to
be repeated.
Fax Reception: If the received fax message
is illegible, ask the sender to send the fax
message again.
Fax memory full! If the fax memory is full, no
fax messages can be received. Print the
stored fax messages so that the device is
ready to receive again.
An error has occurred during printing of the
received fax message.
Check whether the device cover is open.
Check whether the paper supply is empty
Insert Paper into the Paper

, page 48).
Check whether cartridge is empty (see also
Displaying the Toner Level
chapter
101 and Changing the Toner Cartridge
103).
Check to see whether a paper jam has oc-
curred (see also chapter
page 107).
The received fax message is possibly incom-
plete Ask the sender to check the length of
the fax message. It is possible the message is
too long to be able to transmit in full.
In selected devices, no documents lay ready
which could be retrieved. Perhaps the send-
er's device is not ready or the document is no
longer available.
Fax transmission to mailbox: The mailbox
number entered does not exist at the recipi-
ent's side.
Fax polling from a mailbox: The mailbox
number entered does not exist at the recipi-
ent's side.
