6.3.9 Setting of the unit for conveying speed

6.3.10 Adjustment of the Air pressure monitor (option)

This menu is activated if Genius is equipped with an air pressure indicator!
During reject the air pressure can fall under the adjusted limits of the pressure indicator.
The air pressure is not monitored during and a certain time after reject (recovery time) as
it can be out of limits during this time.
Recovery time
0 ms
Set 0 ms to disable.

6.3.11 Conveying speed setting with distance measurement (option belt conveyor)

If the system is delivered with the option "path measurement", then two proximity switches have to be
connected to the corresponding input terminals of the control unit (see also 5.2)

Attention!
The optimum performance is only guaranteed, if the set value for conveying speed
corresponds with the real product speed. Deviations should be less than 20%!
Measuring unit Speed: this menu is selected by selecting „units"
In Setup menu page 2.
This menu allows to choose either Meters per Second or Meters per
Minute.
The units are selected with the key „SEL" and the input is confirmed by
„O.K." which also skips to Setup mode page 2.
Using the „ESC" key will also return to Setup mode page 2 without
changing the unit.
Recovery time: To get to the menu select „Compressed air" in Setup
menu page 2.
The keys – and + set the air pressure recovery time in steps of 5
milliseconds.

The pressure monitor is disabled when set to 0 ms.
„O.K." confirms the setting and gets back to Setup menu page 2.
„ESC" returns also to Setup menu page 2 without any change.
Conveyance speed:
Select „Conveyance speed " in Setup menu page 2.
The pulse frequency of proximity switches triggered by a belt roller is
used to calculate the conveying speed.
The corresponding distance of the belt in mm/pulse (clk) of the
proximity has to be set.
The calculated speed v is displayed in m/s.
This parameter is already factory preset on delivery and should
not be changed!
„O.K." returns to Setup menu page 2.
