To prevent accidental battery ignition or explosion, adhere to
the following:

Keep the battery away from extreme heat.

Keep metal objects away from the battery terminals to
prevent a short circuit.
T
Make sure the battery is properly installed in the battery
bay.
T
Read the precautions printed on the battery later in this
chapter.

Determining Battery Status

You can determine battery status via the battery gauge LEDs on the front of the
Lithium-Ion battery that ships with your NEC Versa LX computer.
A – Battery Gauge LED
To check battery status, press the Battery Gauge LED status button to illuminate
the LEDs. The battery gauge LEDs indicate the following:
