Using the Built-In Flash

✤ The Flash works in
(CAMERA) modes and allows the
user to take brighter pictures in dark locations (i.e.
nighttime shooting, indoors and in shaded areas).
✤ Auto Flash, Red-Eye Reduction, Fill-In Flash, Slow Sync
and Flash Cancel modes are available.
✤ To select a flash mode, press the UP button. It will toggle
the flash mode between:
I Auto Flash
The flash automatically pops up and fires according to the
lighting conditions. Pressing the PHOTO button halfway
down will detect the lighting condition. Even if it remains raised, the flash will
not fire when there is sufficient light.
I Red-Eye Reduction
The Red-Eye Reduction flash fires before the main flash fires and reduces
the Red-Eye effect. Red-Eye Reduction flash mode is effective when the
subjects are within range of the flash and looking toward the flash. A slight
delay occurs after the PHOTO button is fully pressed, to allow the Red-Eye
reduction to take effect. This flash mode is not recommended for fast-moving
subjects or long-distance subjects.
I Fill-In Flash
Forces the flash to fire despite the lighting condition. To get finer results, it is
recommended to use Fill-In flash mode in backlight conditions and for
shaded subjects under sufficient lighting conditions.
I Slow Sync
The shutter speed is set to slow and the flash fires at the adjusted shutter
speed. Use to capture both subject and background at night or in dim light.
Use of a tripod is recommended to prevent a blurred picture. Slow Sync
flash mode allows the user to take brighter background as well as brighter
subject at night.
I Flash Cancel
Forces the flash not to fire. Public places such as museums may prohibit
flashlight use.
Reference
✤ The flash does not function in CONTINUOUS SHOT, AEB or in the
Camcorder modes.
✤ The battery power will be consumed faster with repeated use of the flash.
✤ To use the flash again, wait until the flash is fully charged (5 ~ 7 seconds).
✤ To close the flash after use, push the top lid of the flash downwards until it
clicks.
✤ Do not apply excessive force when closing the flash; otherwise it might
damage the moving parts.
✤ The effective flash range is 7 ~ 10 feet.

✤ Blesk funguje v reÏimech
umoÏÀuje uÏivateli pofiizovat jasnûj‰í snímky v tmav˘ch místech
(napfi. pfii noãním fotografování, v interiérech a ve stínu).
✤ K dispozici jsou reÏimy Auto Flash, Red-Eye Reduction, Fill-In
Flash, Slow Sync a Flash Cancel.
✤ ReÏim blesku volíte stisknutím tlaãítka UP. ReÏimy blesku se
budou pfiepínat mezi:
I Auto Flash
V závislosti na svûteln˘ch podmínkách se blesk automaticky
vysune a spustí. Svûtelné podmínky lze zjistit poloviãním
stisknutím tlaãítka PHOTO. Pokud je scéna dostateãnû
osvûtlena, blesk nebude spu‰tûn, i kdyÏ zÛstane ve vysunuté
poloze.
I Red-Eye Reduction
Blesk Red-Eye Reduction zableskne pfied hlavním zábleskem a tím omezuje
efekt ãerven˘ch oãí. ReÏim blesku Red-Eye Reduction je úãinn˘ tehdy, pokud
jsou osoby v dosahu blesku a dívají se smûrem k blesku. Po plném stisknutí
tlaãítka PHOTO se dojde k mírnému zpoÏdûní, které umoÏÀuje potlaãit efekt
ãerven˘ch oãí. Tento reÏim blesku se nedoporuãuje pro velmi pohyblivé a
vzdálené objekty.
I Fill-In Flash
Tento reÏim spustí blesk bez ohledu na svûtelné podmínky. Chcete-li získat
lep‰í v˘sledky, doporuãujeme pouÏívat reÏim Fill-In pfii prosvûtleném pozadí a
pro objekty ve stínu, které jsou nedostateãnû osvûtleny.
I Slow Sync
Je nastavena pomalá rychlost závûrky a blesk spou‰tí podle upravené
rychlosti závûrky. PouÏívá se pfii fotografování objektÛ a pozadí v noci nebo
pfii slabém osvûtlení. Doporuãujeme pouÏívat stativ, aby snímky nebyly
rozmazané. ReÏim blesku Slow Sync umoÏÀuje uÏivateli získat v noci svûtlej‰í
pozadí a jasnûj‰í objekty.
I Flash Cancel
Tento reÏim potlaãuje spu‰tûní blesku. Na nûkter˘ch vefiejn˘ch místech, napfi.
v muzeích, je ãasto zakázáno pouÏívat blesk.
Poznámka
✤ Blesk nefunguje v reÏimech CONTINUOUS SHOT, AEB a v reÏimech
videokamery.
✤ Opakovan˘m pouÏíváním blesku se baterie se vybíjí rychleji.
✤ Pfied dal‰ím pouÏitím blesku poãkejte, dokud se úplnû nenabije (5 aÏ 7
sekund).
✤ Chcete-li blesk po pouÏití uzavfiít, zatlaãte horní víko blesku smûrem dolÛ, aÏ
zaklapne.
✤ Pfii zavírání blesku nepouÏívejte velkou sílu, protoÏe byste mohli po‰kodit
pohyblivé souãásti.
✤ Úãinn˘ dosah blesku je 7 aÏ 10 stop.
