Using the Built - in Flash
You can take natural looking flash pictures with appropriate illumination using the
built-in flash or attaching the VL-S1FL video Light/ Flash (optional) to the
camcorder's Smart shoe (see page 100), whether they are night scenes, in doors
or in other dark places.
OFF : The flash does not fire.
(Auto): The flash comes on depending on the brightness of the subject.
(Flash on): The flash comes on regardless of the brightness of the subject.
(Red-eye reduction auto: built-in flash only) : The flash pre-fires
automatically before the main firing to reduce the red-eye phenomenon.

FLASH SELECT

The FLASH SELECT function works in CAM and M.REC mode.
1. Set the camcorder to CAM mode.
2. Press the MENU button.
The menu list will appear
3. Move the MENU SELECTOR to highlight CAMERA and
push the MENU SELECTOR.
4. Select FLASH SELECT from the submenu and push the
MENU SELECTOR.
5. Using the MENU SELECTOR, Select the FLASH SELECT
mode.
Push the MENU SELECTOR to confirm the
FLASH SELECT mode.
6. To exit, press the MENU button.
Warning! Do not fire the flash with the flash bulb
covered with your hand.
Do not fire the flash close to people's eyes.
Notes
While using the following functions, you cannot use the
FLASH function:
- PROGRAM AE, SHUTTER SPEED, EXPOSURE,
STROBE (DSE function), SLOW SHUTTER,
CONTINUOUS SHOT, MEMORY MIX
- When you are recording movies onto a tape.
If the flash is forced to fire (Flash on) in a bright location,
the effect of flash photography may sometimes not be obtained.
When (Red-eye reduction auto) is set, the flash fires
twice-once to perform red-eye reduction and the second flash
main firing for taking the photograph. It takes about 1.5 second
between the flash firing for red-eye reduction and the main

firing.

Utilización del flash incorporado
De noche, en interiores o en otros lugares oscuros, puede tomar imágenes que
tengan un aspecto natural con el flash incorporado y la iluminación adecuada o
acoplando el foco y el flash de la cámara VL-S1FL (opcional) a la zapata de la
videocámara (ver página 100).
OFF (Desactivado): el flash no se dispara.
(Automático) : el flash se dispara en función de la luminosidad de la zona
donde se encuentra el objeto.
(Flash activado) : el flash se dispara independientemente de la luminosidad de
la zona donde se encuentra el objeto.
(Reducción automática del efecto ojos rojos: sólo con el flash incorporado):
el flash se dispara previamente de manera automática antes del disparo
principal para reducir el efecto ojos rojos.

La función de selección de flash (FLASH SELECT) sólo
opera en las modalidades CAM y M.REC.
Aparece la lista del menú.

Pulse el SELECTOR MENÚ para confirmar la modalidad
FLASH SELECT.
Si tapa la bombilla del flash con la mano,
no lo dispare.
No dispare el flash cerca de los ojos.
Notas
No puede utilizar el flash al tiempo que utiliza las siguientes
funciones:
- PROGRAM AE, SHUTTER SPEED, EXPOSURE, STROBE
(función DSE), SLOW SHUTTER, CONTINUOUS SHOT,
MEMORY MIX
- Mientras graba películas en una cinta.
Si dispara el flash (flash activado) en un lugar iluminado, es posible
que en ocasiones no obtenga el efecto de la fotografía con flash.
Cuando se activa (reducción automática del efecto ojos
rojos), el flash se dispara para realizar una compensación de
exposición del flash entre el disparo previo del flash para reducir
el efecto ojos rojos y el disparo principal para realizar
fotografías. Desde el disparo previo del flash hasta el disparo
principal pasan aproximadamente 1,5 segundos.
