Assisting Arm Position Sensor (APS1)

Each of these sensors detects the home position of its associated stepping
motor. Each sensor consists of a slotted plate, a light emitter, and a light
receptor. The location of the slot, as detected by the light emitter and
receptor, is set as the home position for that motor. Also, motor revolution
abnormality is monitored by determining whether the home position is
detected within its preset reference time.
