Disconnecting The Engine Checker

CAUTION
Be sure printer power is off before disconnecting the engine checker
from the printer.
Use the following procedure to disconnect the engine checker from the
printer:
1. Turn off the printer power.
2. Refer to Figure II–46 on page II–322 and set MC board rotary switch SW1
3. Disconnect the engine checker harness connectors from MC board
4. Refer to Figure II–45 on page II–321 and reconnect the ribbon cables
5. If necessary, replace the printer covers and the access panel on the left

Using The Control Panel

The engine checker control panel is equipped with a message display,
indicators and keys, as shown in Figure II–47.

Ready indicator — Lights to indicate that the engine checker is ready to
operate.
High-level indicator (green) — Lights when I/O signals are at a high level.
Low-level indicator (red) — Lights when I/O signals are at a low level.
