Connecting The Engine Checker
Figure II–44 gives an overview of connecting the engine checker to the
printer.

CAUTION
Be sure printer power is off before connecting the engine checker to the
printer.
Use the following procedure to connect the engine checker to the printer:
1. Turn off the printer power.
2. If the left rear printer cover is on the printer, remove the access panel on it
(located over the MC board).
3. Refer to Figure II–45 and disconnect the ribbon cables from MC board
connectors CN2 and CN7.
