Basic Operation Menu

Basic Operation Menu
The basic operation menu, shown in Figure II–57, allows you to move fanfold
and cut sheet paper through the printer.
To select a paper type, scroll through the menus until the target item appears
at the extreme left of the message display, and press the ↓ key.
Following is a description of how to operate the paper movement modes.

CUT SHEET
PAPER
STACKER TOP (FACE UP)
STRAIGHT TOP (FACE DOWN)
BOTTOM (FACE UP)
BOTTOM (FACE DOWN)

Fanfold Paper

Fanfold paper is discharged straight or toward the stacker. When discharged
toward the stacker, the stacker must be removed from the print engine. (The
engine checker cannot drive the stacker.)
Use the engine checker to select and move fanfold paper. The menu path is
BASIC MENU, BASIC OPERATION, FANFOLD PAPER, STACKER,
STACKER (FANFOLD OUT), START/STOP. Sample message:

Press ↑ , ↓ , → , and ← to view options.
Press ENTER to select an option.
Press number keys to enter a value.
Press START/STOP to start and stop tests.
