Configuring the Viewer Portal

In the Email "From" address row, click the Edit button.

Enter the mail address for the VMC 1000 appliance that sends the alert.

In the Email host row, click the Edit button.

10 Enter the address of the smtp email server.
11 Click the Save button.
The VMC 1000 allows you to:
• Require Viewer Portal viewers to use the HTTPS protocol for secure sign
prior to viewing a broadcast.
• Remove the requirement for Viewer Portal viewers to select a time zone
before they can see a broadcast.
To configure the Viewer Portal secure sign on:
From the VMC Initialization & Licensing menu, click the Other

Configuration link.
The Other Configuration page appears.
In the Require HTTPS for Login row, click the Edit button.

The default value is "false" (the VMC 1000 does NOT to require Viewer
Portal viewers to use HTTPS to login).
Check the Value checkbox to require Viewer Portal viewers to use

HTTPS to login.
Click Save.

The value in the Require HTTPS for Login row changes to "true" and
users are required to login using HTTPS.
