    About the VMC 1000 The VMC 1000 manages live and video-on-demand (VOD) content created by Polycom RSS 2000 devices and manages video streams (in Windows Media format) created by other devices and uploaded to the VMC 1000. It provides scalable and reliable content access by means of streaming protocols to end users across the entire enterprise.

    The following instructions are for VMC 1000 realms only. Adding New Users To add a new user: Polycom, Inc. About Users “About the VMC 1000.” From the menu, click Users.

    To edit a user: Click Add Users. The Users: New User page appears. Supply the required information, including which groups the new user should belong to. Select a group. Click the Save button. From the menu, click Users. Polycom, Inc.

    Resource Bin in the VMC 1000. The second way involves the purchase of the Upload External Content feature. Using this feature, you can create a program with uploaded streaming media files. Click Media Management. Click Resource Bin. Polycom, Inc.

    To create a VOD program: If channels are enabled, in order to add a program, you must first establish at least one channel. Please see the more information. Polycom, Inc. About Channels From the menu, click Programming. Click the Add Program icon.

Depending on how the VMC 1000 is configured to update the programming cache, it could take a few minutes for the program to become visible to Viewers.
