TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM
The transcever does not turn
ON.
No sound from speaker.
Transmttng s mpossble,
or hgh power can not be se-
lected.
The dsplayed channel cannot
be changed.
Scan does not start.
No beep emts.
Battery voltage error.
The nose cancellaton does
not work.
The nose detecton functon
does not work.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
• The battery s exhausted.
• The battery pack s not attached cor-
rectly.
• The squelch level s too hgh.
• Volume level s too low.
• Speaker has been exposed to water.
• Some channels are for low power or re-
ceve only.
• The battery s exhausted.
• The battery s over charged.
• The output power s set to low.
• Lock functon s actvated.
• "TAG" channels are not programmed.
• Beep tone functon s turned OFF.
• The connected battery pack's voltage s
more than 11 V.
• The sub-mcrophone s covered wth
somethng.
• An optonal external speaker-mcro-
phone s connected.
• The sub-mcrophone s covered wth
somethng.
• The squelch s open.
SOLUTION
• Recharge the battery pack.
• Attach the battery pack correctly.
• Set the squelch level to the threshold level.
• Adjust the audo level to a sutable level.
• Dran water from the speaker.
• Change channels.
• Recharge the battery pack.
• Make sure the battery voltage s correct.
• Push [Hi/Lo ] to select hgh power.
• Push and hold [Hi/Lo
cancel the functon.
• Set the desred channels as "TAG" chan-
nels.
• Set the beep tone to ON (Fx Beep/User
Beep) n the set mode.
• Make sure the battery voltage s correct.
• Make sure the sub-mcrophone s not
covered.
• Dsconnect the mcrophone.
• Make sure the sub-mcrophone s not
covered.
• Set the squelch level to the desred level.
