■ Lock function
Ths functon electroncally locks all keys (except for [PTT],
[VOL/SQL MONI], [LOUD MUTE], [Hi/Lo
to prevent accdental channel changes and functon access.
* In the volume or squelch adjustment mode only.
➥ Push and hold [Hi/Lo
ton ON and OFF.
Appears while the lock function is activated.
Push and hold
for 1 sec.
■ Monitor function
The montor functon opens the squelch. The montor key ac-
ton can be selected n the set mode. (p. 19)

[VOL/SQL MONI] for 1 sec.

Ths functon lghts the functon dsplay and keys, and t s
convenent for nght-tme operaton. The automatc back-
lghtng can be actvated n the set mode. (p. 19)
➥ Push any key except for [PTT] to turn the backlght ON.
• The backlght s automatcally turned OFF after 5 sec. of nactvty.
■ AquaQuake water draining
function
The AquaQuake water dranng functon clears water away
from the speaker grll. Wthout ths functon, water may muffle
the sound comng from the speaker. The transcever emts a
vbratng beep when ths functon s actvated.
➥ Push and hold both [SCAN DUAL] and [Hi/Lo
• A low beep tone sounds for 9 sec. to dran water, regardless of
the volume level settng.
• The transcever never accepts key operaton whle the
AquaQuake functon s actvated.
• The AquaQuake functon can not be actvated when an optonal
speaker-mcrophone s connected.
