MCS-11 must be provisioned
XMT, RCV, and OUTPUT clocks. If an external modem is being used,
provision MCS-11 for
XMT, RCV,OUTPUT clocks and all MCS-11 clocks must now be pro-
vided by the external modem.
Multiple radios at a site can be provisioned and connected to operate
using a common XMT and RCV clock. In this scenario, one radio is
provisioned to supply the clocks. All other radios are provisioned to
sync off the supplied clocks. Provision the radio supplying the clocks

MCS-11 connector J308/J309 is typically used to connect a repeater to a spur or multiple
spurs in a daisy chain system configuration. Either repeater shelf 1 or repeater shelf 2 may
feed the spur shelf. The first connection out of the repeater must be crosswired from J308
to J308. Then, every shelf from the spur must be wired 1:1, J309 to J308, in a daisy-chain
fashion.
